It’s been six long years.
The return of Firefight was hotly anticipated by Halo fans around the world. It first made it’s debut in 2009’s Halo 3: ODST as a survival based mode and returned in 2010 in Bungie’s last Halo outing, Halo: Reach.
As of right now, there’s not much we know about Warzone Firefight. It functions in five round intervals, and unlike the previous iterations of the gamemode, it’s much bigger than its previous incarnations. With the use of reqs, players can summon whatever vehicles and weapons they need to survive the alien onslaught they’re fighting, and I can’t wait to see how the sprawling Warzone maps function in a strict PvE context.
Now , let’s hope when Infection eventually returns, we’ll get a flood-themed firefight mode to compliment it to get our zombie fix.
